Every result in Generate remembers how it was made. Use that to run it again with one change, or to follow it back to the files it started from.

Reuse a result’s settings

Reuse parameters puts a result’s model, prompt, settings and references back into the generator, so you can change one thing and generate again. Hover over a result in Generations and choose the Reuse parameters button, the circular arrows. It’s also in the viewer’s actions when you open a result.
A generated image of a man hitchhiking in Generations, with its hover buttons: Use as, Reuse parameters, Copy prompt, Add to favorites, Download and Delete. The pointer is on Reuse parameters.
The generator fills in:
  • The model.
  • The prompt, with its @ references in place.
  • The references, start and end frames, and keyframes the result used.
  • Its output settings, such as aspect ratio, resolution, duration, sound or voice.
After Reuse parameters, the Image Generator shows GPT Image 2.5 Flare, the two references as @image1 and @image2, and the prompt that made the hitchhiking image beside it.
Nothing runs until you choose Generate, so check Cost first. To start over, choose Clear prompt and references, the reset button at the top right of the generator. To add a result to your next generation as a reference or frame instead, see Use as a reference or frame.

When a result can’t be reused

Generate tells you why instead of loading it. The most common reasons:
  • The result is the 1080p upscale of a Seedance draft. Reuse the draft instead. See Draft, then upscale.
  • One of its references has been deleted or is no longer available.
  • It used a model, setting or input that Generate no longer offers, or it was made with an earlier version of Generate.

See what a result was made from

Open a result in the viewer and choose Show reference graph.
The reference graph of a character sheet in Generate's viewer. Two uploaded photos on the left lead to the character sheet in the middle, marked This asset, which leads to two hitchhiking images on the right. Hide reference graph is highlighted in the actions. The uploaded photos are blurred.
What the result was made from is on the left, what’s been made from it is on the right, and the result you opened is marked This asset. To read and move around the graph, see Reuse and trace an asset.
