A prompt can name the exact references it means. Type @ to point to a reference you’ve added, or # to pull in assets from a folder.

Point to a reference with @

  1. Add references to the References tray. See Frames and references.
  2. In Prompt, type @. A menu lists the references in the tray that the current model accepts. Keep typing to narrow it.
  3. Choose one. It appears in the prompt as a chip, such as @image1.
Two images in the References tray labeled @image1 and @image2, and the @ menu open under the prompt, listing both.
References are numbered by type, in the order they sit in the tray: @image1, @image2, @video1, @audio1 and so on. You can also select the @ label on a tile in the tray to add its tag to the prompt.
A prompt that reads: Put the man in @image1 by the side of @image2 thumbing a ride at golden hour, with each tag shown as a chip with a thumbnail.
Some models can’t use tags with Start or End frames set. If ZeroGen says so, remove the frames or the tags. A tag whose reference you removed must be fixed before you can generate.

Pull in a folder with

Type # in Prompt to open a menu of the project’s folders. By default, # brings in a folder’s favorites. A project can instead bring in assets with the labels it chooses. See Projects. A folder with nothing the current model can use says so, such as No favorites, and can’t be chosen.
The # menu open, listing folders such as Characters, Character_Eve, Characters_Hal, Locations and Barscene_Thirties, each marked No favorites, with a hint to press Tab to open and Enter to select.
  • Press Tab to open a folder and see the folders inside it.
  • Press Enter to choose it. ZeroGen adds the folder’s matching assets to the References tray and inserts their tags, such as @image1, @image2.
ZeroGen checks the newest 50 assets of each type in a folder.
