When you choose Generate, ZeroGen sends one generation to the model you picked: your prompt, references and settings. The API calls this a run. A generation makes one or more outputs: up to four on models that can make several at once. Each finished output is saved as an asset in the project’s Library.

What happens to a generation

Each output shows where it’s up to: When an output finishes, the card shows it in place of the status. To stop one of your generations while it’s running, choose Cancel on its card. Owners and Admins can also cancel other people’s.

What you’re charged

Starting a generation holds its estimated cost from your organization’s balance. When it finishes, you’re charged for what the model actually used. Each generation’s details show whether its amount is held, charged or released. For what failed and cancelled generations cost, see Credits and billing.

Generations that start others

Some generations lead to new ones:
  • Upscale: upscaling a Seedance draft starts a new generation, charged on its own. See Draft, then upscale.
  • Resubmitted: when Seedance finds a real person in a reference you didn’t mark as one, ZeroGen marks it and tries again. The new generation replaces the failed one. See Frames and references.

Where to find generations

  • Generate: Generations lists the project’s generations, starting with your own. Choose Created by › Anyone to see your team’s. See Your generations.
  • Library: every output, filed with the project’s other assets.
  • API: through the ZeroGen API. See the Developers docs.
