GPT Image, from OpenAI, makes and edits images, follows long prompts closely, and renders text well. Add reference images and it edits or combines them.

What you can give it

A prompt of up to 32,000 characters in Generate, or 20,000 through the API.
References: up to 16 images (PNG, JPEG or WebP, under 50 MB and up to 40 megapixels each).
A mask to edit only part of the first image. See Edit part of an image with a mask.

Aspect ratio	Auto, 1:1, 3:2, 2:3, 4:3, 4:5, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16 or 21:9.
Resolution	1K, 2K or 4K once you choose an aspect ratio, or Custom… for an exact size.
Quality	See the table above. Higher quality costs more.
Format	GPT Image 2.5: PNG, JPEG or WebP.
Background	GPT Image 2.5: Auto, Opaque or Transparent. Transparent needs PNG or WebP.
Quantity	1 to 4 images.

Cost

GPT Image is priced by how much the model reads and makes, so higher quality, bigger images and more references cost more. The charge follows what the model actually uses, so it can differ slightly from the estimate. One image at Auto quality and size is estimated at:
