# Seedream 5

> ByteDance's image models, in three tiers from fast and low-cost to highest quality.

Seedream 5, from ByteDance, makes and edits images. Add reference images and
it edits or combines them.

| **Seedream 5 Pro** | The highest quality | 1K, 2K |
| **Seedream 5 Lite** | Everyday images | 1K, 2K |
| **Seedream 5 Flash** | Fast, low-cost images | 2K only |

## What you can give it

* **A prompt**.
* **References**: up to 10 images, each under 30 MB and up to 36 megapixels.

## Output settings

| Setting | Options |

| Aspect ratio | Auto, 1:1, 3:2, 2:3, 4:3, 4:5, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 21:9 or 4:1. |
| Resolution | See the table above, once you choose an aspect ratio. |
| Quantity | 1 to 4 images. |

Each model is priced per image:

On Seedream 5 Pro, edits with more than one reference cost a little more.
