# MiniMax H3

> MiniMax's video models: H3 Max up to 1080P with a lower-cost Turbo tier, and H3 for 2K and 4K.

MiniMax makes two video models:

| **MiniMax H3** | 2K and 4K video | 768P, 2K, 4K | 5–15 seconds |

MiniMax H3 Max has two tiers under **Tier**: **Standard**, the default, and
**Turbo**, which costs less and takes prompts and frames only.

## What you can give it

* **A prompt** of up to 50,000 characters in Generate, or 20,000 through the
  API.
* **Frames**: a start frame, and an optional end frame.
* **References**: up to 12, with up to 9 images, 3 MP4 videos and 3 MP3
  clips. Video and audio can total up to 15 seconds, and you need at least one
  image or video. References can't be combined with frames.

## Output settings

| Aspect ratio | 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16. References add **Auto**, and frames follow the image. |
| Prompt expansion | H3 Max only: how MiniMax expands your prompt before it renders. **Balanced**, the default, or **Quality**. |
| Quantity | 1 to 4 videos. |

MiniMax H3 models don't make sound.

## Cost

MiniMax H3 is priced per second of video, by resolution. References can add
to the price: on MiniMax H3, each reference image after the fifth; on H3 Max,
references beyond a small allowance. A 5-second 768P video costs about:
