# Krea

> Krea's image models: Krea 3 for editing and combining images, and Krea 2 for prompts alone.

Krea makes images. Krea 3 can also edit and combine up to eight images.

## What you can give it

* **A prompt** of up to 5,000 characters.
* **References** (Krea 3): up to 8 images. Point to each one in the prompt
  with its [@ tag](https://docs.zerogen.com/generate/prompts.md).

## Output settings

| Aspect ratio | Auto, 1:1, 3:2, 2:3, 4:3, 4:5, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 21:9 or 4:1. Auto makes an image of about 4 megapixels. | Auto, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 4:5, 2:3 or 9:16. |
| Resolution | 1K or 2K, once you choose an aspect ratio. | None to choose. |
| Format | PNG or JPEG. | None to choose. |
| Variant | **Quality**, the default, or **Speed**. | None to choose. |
| Reasoning | How much Krea plans before drawing: **Low** or **Medium**, the default. **High**, for edits only, plans the edit more carefully and keeps unedited areas of a single image. | None to choose. |

Each run makes one image.

## Cost

* **Krea 3** is priced by the size of the result plus the references, so
  bigger images and more references cost more. High reasoning costs more. An
  image at Auto size costs about \$0.14.
* **Krea 2** costs about \$0.08 an image.
