# Recently deleted

> Delete assets and folders, and restore what you deleted.

Deleting an asset moves it to **Recently deleted**, where you can restore it.
Anyone in your organization can delete and restore assets, not only the
person who made them.

## Delete assets

Open an asset's menu, or open the asset, and choose **Delete**. To delete
several, select them, then choose **Actions** › **Delete**.

While you're in a folder, ZeroGen asks what you want:

* **Remove from folder** takes the assets out of this folder. They stay in the
Library and in any other folders.
* **Remove from all folders** keeps them in the Library, in **Unfiled**.
* **Delete** moves them to **Recently deleted**.

Outside a folder, **Delete** also offers **Remove from all folders** when an
asset you selected is in a folder.

Generations that used a deleted asset as a reference aren't affected. Their
reference graph marks the asset **In Recently deleted**.

## Delete a folder

Open the folder's menu in the sidebar or on its card, and choose **Delete
folder**. Then choose:

* **Delete folders, keep assets**: the assets stay in the Library. Any that
aren't in another folder move to **Unfiled**.
* **Delete folders and assets**: the assets move to **Recently deleted** too.

Subfolders are always deleted with their folder. Deleted folders don't appear
in **Recently deleted**, so to bring one back, choose **Undo** in the notice
that follows. Only the person who deleted the folder can undo it, within an
hour. The notice goes away when you make another folder change, switch
projects or leave the Library, and Undo goes with it.

Only Owners and Admins can delete a folder that's linked to LucidLink.

## Restore assets

Choose **Recently deleted** in the Library sidebar. You can search and filter
it like the rest of the Library.

* To restore one asset, open its menu and choose **Restore**.
* To restore several, select them and choose **Restore selected**.

Restored assets go back to the folders they were in. If a folder no longer
exists, they go to **Unfiled**.
